Scope
Degrove Surveyors was contracted by Jacobs Engineering to provide comprehensive surveying and mapping services for JEA’s Monument Road 24-inch Reclaimed Water Main project in Jacksonville, Florida. The multi-phase effort supported design development, route evaluation, and construction planning for a critical reclaimed water transmission corridor extending from Millcoe Road to St. Johns Bluff Road.
Main Project Tasks
The project encompassed a complete topographic survey of the Monument Road right of way, adjacent easements, and the JEA Water Treatment Plant site, extending 10 feet beyond the right-of-way to capture all relevant features for design consideration.
Key survey elements included:
- Right-of-way and easement boundary delineation
- Detailed mapping of pavement types, driveways, sidewalks, and drainage features
- Elevations and cross-sections every 100 feet, including roadway, ditch, and culvert data
- Location and identification of all above- and below-grade utilities, in accordance with ASCE 38-22 Quality Levels B, C, and D
- Verification of 65 test holes (VVH Level A) for depth and location of underground utilities
- Coordination with environmental and geotechnical subconsultants to locate wetland and endangered species flags, soil borings, and other site-specific features
